Miles preparing to greet his cousin Jacob!
The boys are still waiting to meet their cousin Jacob. Ethan recognizes his pictures, obviously. But now Miles is, too. He frequently walks in on me checking out his blog and watching video of him. It's turned into this game. He says "Who's that?" and I say "That's cousin Jacob!" and he'll repeat me "Jacob" and it goes back and forth. I thought you'd get a kick out of this. He's trying to get to the other side of the camera because he recently discovered the screen there.

A camping we will go!

Last weekend we made a pretty last minute camping trip up to Clear Lake on Mt. Hood. It was, hands down, the best one to date. I think mostly because there were no mosquitoes. We went with Jimmy and Steve, like always. This time their dog Bianca came too. We were a little concerned about how Miles and Bianca would do, but they were both great! When Jimmy and Ethan would go out to find wood, Bianca would follow to keep an eye on them. Miles loved exploring everywhere, but made sure to stay close by. He was entertained by the wood pile, Bianca, rocks and all the cookies and chips Jimmy and Steve brought! By our last day, I was ready to give him a long soak in the bathtub! Ethan decided he was too old for me to be trying to get videos or pictures of him. I talked him into taking a few pics at the lake, but the rest are of Miles.

Ethan's first day of school!
Ethan started fifth grade today! Crazy how fast time flies! He didn't get the teacher he was hoping for, but she's great. It turns out she's a science teacher! YEAH!!! She got a grant for some classroom microscopes, too. I think Ethan's going to have a great year!

Oh, he "forgot" that I put clothes out for him to wear and decided to pick out something of his own. I'm all for that, but did you read his shirt? I think he's just going to wear it to sleep from now on.

The Sandbox
Grandma and Grandpa came out from Utah for Miles' birthday! Grandpa and dad decided that Miles needs a sandbox in the backyard. They headed out to Home Depot and had one built in no time! I don't know who likes it more, Miles or Ethan!

Happy Birthday Momo!

Miles turned two this week! He had a blast at his party (which was nice, because he cried through his first one!) and loved being the center of attention! His new love is Thomas the Tank Engine! Ethan had a train obsession for years and had a train party from age 2-5, so we'll see if Miles can beat that!
