What a long, strange week it's been!
I wish I thought to take pictures of everything that happened earlier this week! Jimmy and Steve took a cruise and asked us to watch their dog, Bianca. We figured it wouldn't be too bad since we have over two acres of land for her to run on. We knew that she couldn't spend too much time indoors since Corey has really bad asthma and we have Gracie and Sierra. We did decide that we could shut her in the office at night. The first night seemed to be okay. I went in to check on her about 1am and everything looked fine. The next morning Corey went in to find that she had destroyed the needlepoint I have been working on for over two years! Not too happy, but it could be worse. Apparently she likes to eat wood and went through two bags to get the wooden ring I use. I did have an antique shelf sitting on the floor that wasn't touched. Praise God! So that night I took out all the wood that I possibly could and threw some toys in for her to play with. This is what we woke up to...

I also got a call at work from Ethan asking me to come home because he burned himself. I started to freak out, then he told me that it happened on microwave popcorn. I figured it couldn't be that bad, but he sounded like he was in pain so I left work to go home. His whole collar bone was burned and blisters had formed! This pic was taken two days after the incident, but you can see the damage. Those are what's left of the blisters.

What I neglected to take a picture of was Miles walking in the room an hour later with his face smeared with a think layer of vasoline. It also covered both arms from fingers to elbow. Apparently, Corey told Ethan to put some on and he left it opened on our bed. I threw Miles in the bath and asked Ethan to check out our bedspread to see how bad the damage was. Good news: the bed was fine. Bad news: Miles smeared the chest at the foot of the bed that belonged to my mom. This is one of my most valued belongings. Everything that I have of her's is in there. I was practically in tears while I finished up Miles' bath. Then I went in to see for myself. I almost laughed out loud!!! Miles found some of Ethan's baby pictures and laid them down on the chest before smearing it with the vasoline. The pictures were ruined, but the chest is fine!

So I thought I'd end on a lighter note and show you a video of the little munchkin!

In search of the perfect pumpkin!
Ethan has been dying to go to the pumpkin patch for weeks now! Finally on Sunday afternoon, the rain stopped and we took our annual trip to Joe's Farm. Ethan found his prize pumpkin right away. It was huge-almost as big as Miles! But, for some unknown reason, he decided he wanted a small one instead. We were so shocked (and relieved) that we let him get three. Miles had a blast! He loved all the small pumpkins-they were perfect for throwing! It was so fun to just watch him check everything out.

I know, I know....it's been a long time!
I know it's been awhile since I've updated! Ethan suddenly doesn't want his picture taken and Miles is facinated by the screen on the other side that all his pics are blurry from him trying to run to see it! Here are some random pics that I've taken since I've last updated. Enjoy!

Miles is fearless! Check him out on the slide!
